If a listing on Lexfora is about you, you control what happens to it — whether or not you want anything to do with us.
Why the listing exists
Lexfora creates attorney listings from publicly available information, including state bar records and law firm websites. An attorney does not have to sign up, agree, or be aware of Lexfora for a listing to exist.
Proving the listing is yours
We verify ownership before handing anyone control of a profile, because the alternative is letting a stranger edit an attorney's professional record. Verification matches you to the bar record on the listing and confirms control of an email address associated with you or your firm.
What you can do right now
- Verify that the listing is yours.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Request suppression or removal of the listing entirely.
- Reserve access to profile management and client enquiries when they open.
What we are not promising yet
Lexfora is still building directory coverage. Profile management and client enquiry delivery are not open yet, so verifying a listing today does not mean you will start receiving client requests. We would rather say that than imply a pipeline that does not exist.
Removal
Any attorney can ask to correct or remove their listing, whether or not they have claimed it. We action removal requests without requiring you to create an account or speak to anyone first.
You do not have to claim a profile in order to have it removed, and we will not use a removal request as an opportunity to sell you anything.
What claiming does not do
Lexfora does not recommend, endorse, rank by quality, or vouch for any attorney. We check specific facts and say which ones we checked. Everything else is your judgement to make.
Lexfora takes no referral fee and accepts no payment for placement. No attorney can pay to appear higher in results or to be suggested to you.
Claiming a profile is free and does not obligate you to buy anything or to accept enquiries.
